Insulation
Attic
30% of heat is lost through a poorly insulated attic. Upgrading the insulation levels
in the roof space will dramatically improve the quality and retention of heat in your
home. It is the most cost effective way of improving energy efficiency.
External Walls
Installing insulation to the outside of a building ensures that the existing structure
is prevented from cold and moisture penetration. In the same way that a lagging
jacket keeps the water tank warm, external insulation ensures the structure of the
building is kept comfortable throughout the year.
Cavity Wall
This involves injecting a waterproof bonded polystyrene bead into the cavity
between the internal and external walls. This system is a compromise between
the benefits of external insulation and internal dry lining insulation.
Internal Wall
This involves fixing insulated plasterboard to all the inner surfaces of the external
walls, this method of dry lining ensures that all the heat from central heating
systems is kept within the structure.
